On my way to work this morning I came across the syndicated radio morning show Murphy, Sam & Jody. This woman had submitted a email wanting advice on her relationship, apparently she has been in a relationship with her boyfriend for over a year and they are fixing to move in together and her family is completely against it and I believe they organized some type of intervention to convince her not to move in with him because since they have been together he hasn’t been employed, they feel he is lazy and just moochies off her. The email didn’t really specifiy if he was trying to get a job or if he was laid off during the tough times or anything, just that he was unemployed. They all agreed that she shouldn’t move in with him and she should listen to her family. What I’m wondering is if it was the opposite, what if she was unemployed and he had the job and his family told him not to move in together. It seems to me that if the woman is unemployed in the relationship she is not seen as lazy or she isn’t seen as a moocher, and that the man would be in the wrong to listen to his family and break it off with her. Is it just me or is a woman not perceived as being lazy or a bum when she is unemployed for a extended period of time?
Sucked so bad.
A friend wanted to see my phone and I let him see it and I kinda freaked out. Lol.
